2025 Guthrie Mathematics Tournament

February 8, 2025

39 individual participants, including 6 students returning from the 2023 competition and 11 students returning from the 2024 competition formed 15 teams to compete individually and as teams.  Students attempted 30 problems across a variety of mathematical subdisciplines in the individual competition.  Teams collaborated on solving 10 different challenge questions requiring a variety of mathematical skills as well as logical thinking.  Teams also participated in a speed round testing how quickly they could come up with correct answers to math related questions.

The event included a presentation on the mathematical topic of knots and a math and logic-based puzzle challenge similar to an escape room just for fun at the end of the day.

Thanks to everyone (and their sponsors) who attended and congratulations to this year's winners.
